Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet area in the West Island of Montreal is something you could call a "sleepy" area. This part of Montreal is known as the West Island has a lot of communities. For those who haven't heard of it often mistake it for a separate island facing west. Amanda Brugel's birthplace is frequently mentioned, but her brief time in the city was not. Brugel was raised in Courtice near Oshawa Ontario. The first goal she had was to become a dancer, but a growth spurt resulted in her outgrowing the dancers she was with. According to an article by Toronto Star, she revealed that in heels she was 6 foot 1 inches tall. Once I outgrew male partners and gave up, I decided to give up. Many dancers make the transition into acting. For Bruce, it was her drama instructor who pushed her to go in this direction. The teacher who suggested she take on a part in the annual school production. After trying out, she ended up as the lead actress for Anne of Green Gables. After receiving the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she attended York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2000. In the last 20 years, her roles in the world of television and on the screen have varied. Her role as Rita in the award-winning series The Handmaid's Tale was her most memorable. Brugel was the sole Canadian actor in the season 1 and only appeared at times.
