Selena Gomez has a worldwide reputation as an actor as well as a singer. She's been involved in several projects. But her involvement in the Disney television series Wizards of Waverly Place has seen the biggest success. Her full name is Selena Marie Gomez. Selena Marie Gomez was born in Grand Prairie, Texas on the 22nd day of July 1992. Amanda Cornett is her mother and Ricardo Gomez is her father. She was born to Amanda Cornett aged 16 at the time Selena was born. Her first stage work at the age of 9 when she was Gianna in Barney and her Friends. She was one of those children that played the most famous anthropomorphic, purple dinosaur ever. Selena contributed to numerous episodes from seasons 7 and 8. Between 2001 and 2003, she was a part of the cast. Interesting trivia: Demi Lovato, who was part of Barney's Friends at the time also, was a co-star with Selena. Selena Gomez left the show and auditioned for roles in a number of films and television shows, however she didn't have a lot of successes. In 2003, she played an unimportant role for a small part in Mini Spies 3: (Spy Kids 3D Game Over), and played Julie in Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire. Additionally, in 2006 she portrayed Emily Grace Garcia on the Brain Zapped television program. She played the role and created a tune.
